The President of the Government of Catalonia, Pere Aragonès i Garcia, today opened the new Oracle Health Support Hub, dedicated to digitalisation in the field of health. The head of the Government celebrated "Oracle's commitment to Catalonia with the announcement of this new centre", which, he said "will contribute to opening up new opportunities for collaboration and well-being and prosperity for all citizens"."We are proud that Catalonia is one of the most dynamic ecosystems with the greatest potential in research, innovation and technology in the field of health in Europe," he said.
In this regard, Pere Aragonès noted that, according to the innovation ranking drawn up by the European Commission, "in the last two years Catalonia has climbed 27 positions, an absolutely extraordinary level of change, something that has been possible in only 2% of EU territories". And he added that this is the case because "there has been a significant improvement in business investment, such as that of Oracle", and because "there has been greater public investment, such as that carried out by the Government of Catalonia, in the area of training and research and in support for businesses".
The head of the Government also emphasised that "the digitalisation of society is a strategic commitment that we have undertaken as a country, also in the field of health sciences and in the area of public health services as a whole”. And he added that this represents new opportunities that "contribute to improving the quality of healthcare for the citizens of Catalonia". "New opportunities such as the 60 new high-level jobs it will incorporate", he concluded.
With the new Oracle Health Support Hub, the company will be able to better meet the needs of its European customers in modernising their healthcare systems to help improve outcomes and patient care. The more than 60 professionals who will be working there will focus on providing guidance for customers in the design of their systems, helping to prevent incidents and reduce recovery times. The inaugural event also featured the Executive Vice President and Global General Manager of Oracle Health, Travis Dalton.
El president de la Generalitat, Pere Aragonès i Garcia, ha inaugurat avui el nou Oracle Health Support Hub, dedicat a la digitalització en l’àmbit de la salut. El cap del Govern ha celebrat “el compromís d’Oracle amb Catalunya amb l’anunci d’aquest nou centre”, que, ha dit “contribuirà a obrir noves oportunitats de col·laboració i de benestar i prosperitat per a tota la ciutadania”. “Ens enorgulleix que Catalunya sigui un des ecosistemes més dinàmics i amb més potencial en recerca, innovació i tecnologia en l’àmbit de salut d’Europa”, ha remarcat.
En aquest sentit, Pere Aragonès ha fet notar que, segons el rànquing d'innovació elaborat per la Comissió Europea, “en els darrers dos anys Catalunya ha escalat fins a 27 posicions, una dimensió de canvi absolutament extraordinària, que de fet només en el 2% de territoris de la UE ha estat possible”. I ha afegit que això és així perquè “hi ha una millora molt significativa en inversions empresarials, com la d'Oracle”, i perquè “hi ha una major inversió pública, com la que portem a terme des del Govern de Catalunya, en l'àmbit de formació i recerca i en l'acompanyament empresarial”.
El cap de l’Executiu també ha posat de relleu que “la digitalització de la societat és una aposta estratègica que tenim com a país, també en el camp de les ciències de la salut i en tot l’àmbit dels serveis públics de salut”. I ha afegit que això representa noves oportunitats que “contribueixen a millorar la qualitat de l'assistència sanitària a la ciutadania de Catalunya”. “Noves oportunitats com els 60 nous llocs de feina d’alt nivell que incorporarà”, ha conclòs.
Amb el nou Oracle Health Support Hub, aquesta companyia podrà atendre millor les necessitats dels seus clients europeus en la modernització dels seus sistemes sanitaris per ajudar a millorar els resultats i l’atenció als pacients. Els més de 60 professionals que hi treballaran se centraran en orientar els clients en el disseny dels seus sistemes, ajudaran a prevenir incidències i reduir el temps de recuperació. En l’acte inaugural també ha intervingut el vicepresident i director general global de la Divisió de Salut d'Oracle, Travis Dalton.
