El president de la Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, ha comparegut aquesta tarda al Convent dels Àngels amb motiu del 20è aniversari del saló Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) donant la benvinguda un any més a l’organització d’aquest saló, que obrirà les portes del 30 de gener al 2 de febrer al recinte Gran Via.

Aragonès ha destacat la importància d’aquest saló, que “esdevé un punt de trobada de sectors amb un enorme potencial econòmic i social”, i ha afegit que l’ISE “és l'esdeveniment internacional líder en l'àmbit audiovisual i sistemes integrats”.

El cap de l’Executiu ha remarcat que enguany l’ISE disposarà de més espai i expositors que mai fins ara, un augment que “és el millor indicador del potencial que l'ISE i Catalunya han generat en començar a treballar conjuntament”. En aquesta mateixa línia, Aragonès ha afirmat que “per Catalunya, Integrated Systems Europe, no és només una de les moltes fires o congressos entre els molts que Barcelona acull al llarg de l'any”.

Durant l’acte, Aragonès ha destacat que “Catalunya mira cap endavant” i ho fa en “sectors d'alt valor afegit" com l’audiovisual i el tecnològic. Pere Aragonès ha volgut aprofundir l'alta capacitat que té Catalunya de “pensar en gran” a través de la recerca i coneixement, gràcies al “talent dels nostres investigadors i al dinamisme de les nostres empreses del sector” i ho ha exemplificat amb el superordinador del MareNostrum 5 i el nou sincrotró Alba II.

“Som un país emergent en l'àmbit audiovisual i tecnològic", ha subratllat el president, afegint que Catalunya és “un país ideal per invertir, buscar aliances i trobar interessos compartits”. Aragonès ha remarcat que l’ISE “ha creat sinergies extremadament positives a tot l'ecosistema de Catalunya”, sinergies com les de totes les empreses tecnològiques que han decidit establir-se a Barcelona, en els projectes per dotar el país de les infraestructures que necessita el sector com la nova Catalunya Media City, amb la creació d’un centre audiovisual “per esdevenir el més potent i innovador hub de cultura audiovisual i digital a Europa”, ha declarat.

Finalment, el cap de l’executiu ha conclòs l’acte afirmant que “som un país inquiet, poc convencional” i que “si el món es mou, no ens podem aturar”.

L'acte ha comptat amb la presència del conseller d'Empresa i Treball, Roger Torrent i Ramió, així com de Michael Blackman, director general del Saló ISE i Pau Relat i Vidal, president de Fira de Barcelona.

Aragonès stressed the importance of this show, which "is a meeting point for sectors with enormous economic and social potential", and added that the ISE "is the leading international event for the audiovisual and systems integration industries".

The head of the Government remarked that this year ISE will have more space and exhibitors than ever before, an increase that "is the best indicator of the potential that the ISE and Catalonia have generated by starting to work together".Along the same lines, Aragonès stated that "for Catalonia, Integrated Systems Europe is not just another fair or congress among the many that Barcelona hosts throughout the year".

During the event, Aragonès highlighted that "Catalonia is looking to the future" and is doing so in "sectors of high added value" such as the audiovisual and technology industries. Pere Aragonès underscored Catalonia's significant capacity to "think big" through research and knowledge, thanks to the "talent of our researchers and the dynamism of our companies in the sector" and he highlighted this using the example of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer and the new Alba II synchrotron.

"We are an emerging country in the audiovisual and technological field", stressed the President, adding that Catalonia is "an ideal country for investing, seeking alliances and finding shared interests". Aragonès remarked that the ISE"has created extremely positive synergies throughout Catalonia's ecosystem", such as those of all the technology companies that have chosen to establish themselves in Barcelona, in projects to provide the country with the necessary infrastructure for the sector like the new Catalonia Media City, with the creation of an audiovisual centre "that will be the most powerful and innovative hub of audiovisual and digital culture in Europe," he declared.

Finally, the head of the executive concluded the event by saying that "we are a restless, unconventional country" and that "if the world is moving, we must move with it".

The event was attended by the Minister of Business and Labour, Roger Torrent i Ramió, as well as Michael Blackman, Managing Director of ISE, and Pau Relat i Vidal, President of Fira de Barcelona.
