- El cap de l’Executiu ha encapçalat la cloenda dels actes commemoratius del 75è aniversari de l’Hospital del Mar Research Institute
El president de la Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, ha posat en relleu aquest migdia que “el nostre país té en la investigació de les ciències de la salut un dels motors de progrés, de creixement i de generació d’oportunitats”. I ha assegurat que “Catalunya és un dels pols més importants de recerca biomèdica d'Europa”.
El cap de l’Executiu ha pronunciat aquestes paraules durant la cloenda dels actes commemoratius del 75è aniversari de l’Hospital del Mar Research Institute, que s’ha fet avui al Parc de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona. Durant l’acte, al qual també han assistit els consellers de Recerca i Universitats, Joaquim Nadal, i de Salut, Manel Balcells, s’ha presentat el llibre 75 anys investigant per la salut de les persones, editat amb motiu d'aquest aniversari.
Pere Aragonès, ha destacat que aquest centre de recerca, inaugurat l’any 1948 pel Premi Nobel de Medicina Alexander Fleming, “és una demostració molt clara del cercle virtuós de treball conjunt entre hospitals d'altíssim nivell, universitats compromeses, centres de recerca innovadors, una indústria i un teixit productiu en l'àmbit sanitari i farmacèutic destacable i una aportació i un compromís de les institucions”.
El cap del Govern ha expressat el seu agraïment als més de 700 investigadors i professionals que, ha dit, fan de l’Institut de Recerca de l’Hospital del Mar “un referent per a Catalunya i Europa en l’àmbit de la investigació mèdica”.
The President of the Government of Catalonia, Pere Aragonès, stressed this afternoon that “our country’s health sciences research is one of the driving forces behind progress, growth and the generation of opportunities”. And he declared that “Catalonia is one of the most important biomedical research centres in Europe”.
The head of the Executive was speaking at the close of the commemorative events to mark the 75th anniversary of the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, which took place today at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park. The event, which was also attended by the Minister for Research and Universities, Joaquim Nadal, and for Health, Manel Balcells, included the presentation of the book 75 anys investigant per la salut de les persones [75 years of Human Health Research], published to mark the anniversary.
Pere Aragonès highlighted that this research centre, opened in 1948 by Alexander Fleming, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine, “is a very clear demonstration of the virtuous circle of joint work between hospitals of the highest level, committed universities, innovative research centres, an outstanding industry and productive fabric in the health and pharmaceutical fields, and a contribution and commitment from the institutions”.
The head of the Government expressed his gratitude to the more than 700 researchers and professionals who, he said, make the Hospital del Mar Research Institute “a benchmark for Catalonia and Europe in the field of medical research”.
